Around 100 Arkansas Army National Guard soldiers have received approval for a 90-day extension of their deployment in Washington D.C.

They have been stationed there since November 2025.

The soldiers, part of the 142nd Field Artillery Brigade, have been supporting law enforcement and conducting patrols in the National Capital Region.

State officials are praising the soldiers' efforts, citing improvements in public safety, with thousands of arrests and hundreds of illegal firearms recovered as part of the mission.

The Guard remains ready to serve both at home and abroad for federal missions and to assist in emergencies in Arkansas.

Reports suggest that part of the movie was filmed in Roland.
